Raisa is the daughter of a wealthy banker and, quite possibly, mastermind criminal. On outward appearances, Raisa was raised as a wealthy, but relatively normal, Russian individual. She went to expensive schools and was bought everything that a little girl can possibly hope for.
Underneath it all, however, a private investigator has managed to pull up a few odd things about Raisa’s childhood. For one thing, Raisa’s father appeared to have authorized several experiments on the little girl, most of which Raisa appears to have no knowledge of.
Such experiments were meant to increase Raisa’s ability to retain information and to learn magic spells at a much greater speed than normal. Most of them were a success, however her last experiment has left her somewhat weakened. Her magic is only slightly subdued, though she has problems with lasting power. The most significant drawback of the last experiment, however, was the reduced physical strength, speed and aim. In time, it is hoped that this goes away. For now, though, the experiments have finally left a toll on Raisa.
